#OOTD: When Tradition Meets Fashion!

Hi Everyone!  It’s again weekend and I am here presenting another lookbook. This time I went all traditional. So excited to write this post, since this is my favourite traditional outfit!

Fell in love with the dress the very time I saw it in store. The mughal themed threadworks caught my attention 😍. The entire colour combination, sequins,  threadworks took me back to those historic period I have lived through the pages of textbooks.

The entire outfit came in 3 parts – the upper part is a black georgette kameej (basically a heavily embroidered tunic), the lower part is a cotton blend Ghagra  (a screenprinted skirt) and a jamdani dupatta or scarf.

This outfit is ideal for traditional  weddings, festivals and any Bangladeshi/Indian gatherings. Or, if you choose to be carefree, you can rock this look anywhere to look fancy 😉.

To add the modern vibe to the whole look, paired it with my favourite limited edition snakeskin mule named after a Bangladeshi fashionista Aydha.

Everything featured here are our local brands. Do browse their website if you like them.

The dress itself was really heavy, so kept the whole look minimal.
